Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office

The UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) providing support to DevEd 2025 through the ASEAN-UK Supporting the Advancement of Girls' Education (ASEAN-UK SAGE) programme. The ASEAN-UK SAGE Programme is the first project to be implemented under the ASEAN-UK Plan of Action (2022-26). The 5-year programme aims to support ASEAN member states to develop effective policies and programmes that improve foundational learning and tackle constraints limiting the achievement of girls, women and marginalised groups.

ASEAN-UK SAGE is delivered by British Council and SEAMEO Secretariat, in partnership with EdTech Hub and the Australian Council for Educational Research. ASEAN-UK SAGE is an ASEAN cooperation programme funded by UK International Development.

Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is supporting DevEd 2025 through its Education Analytics, Research and Capability Building (EdARC) program. EdARC provides evidence-based support to DFAT’s diverse education portfolio, which includes over 130 individual projects.

The program strengthens the quality of data and analysis used by DFAT, implementing partners and regional governments to inform education policy and programming. Key features of EdARC are its rapid-response Helpdesk and strategic research stream, managed by ACER. EdARC also enables two-way learning between Australia and its regional partners, connecting domestic and regional education systems and fostering collaboration across the broader education architecture.

Mary Mackillop Today

Mary Mackillop Today, an international development organisation, invites delegates to explore a powerful partnership opportunity. We have launch EdTech for Early Learning (ETEL), a holistic, nationally-scaled program. ETEL began in Timor-Leste, leveraging technology in ways that elevates local culture, trans-language, curriculum, identity and play. It builds the capacity of teachers and encourages parents to become active participants in their children’s education. Importantly, ETEL avoids individual screen time, works online and offline, aligns with the local curriculum and is community-led. The innovation ETEL apps and associated know-how are available to partners for other Asia Pacific settings. We seek partners to adapt, implement and/or co-fund derivative ETEL environments to scale this proven model in Timor-Leste, Australia and beyond. Lets reimagine Asia Pacific early education together.

GPE KIX EMAP Hub

The Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE KIX) Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia and Pacific (EMAP) Hub supports GPE partner countries in the EMAP region to strengthen the use of research evidence for more effective education policy and practice by surfacing and amplifying knowledge and expertise from the Global South. The KIX EMAP Hub is hosted by NORRAG, the Global Education Centre in Geneva, and is part of the wider KIX programme implemented globally by the International Development Research Centre.

Pacific Kids' Learning

Pacific Kids’ Learning (PKL) is a Pacific-led social enterprise and justice movement ensuring every Pacific child can learn in the language of their ancestors. Responding to the widening digital and cultural equity gap, PKL has created a turn-key solution for Pacific language learning and Indigenous-led education: the Pacific Digital Library - a sovereign, purpose-built platform offers instant access to culturally grounded e-learning resources in 11 Pacific languages plus English - created for schools, homes, and cross sector industries.

PKL produces digital koloa (treasures) - animated heritage stories, songs, and dances in Pacific languages using 2D, 3D and VR animation. Every story is co-designed with the village - students, teachers, elders, Pacific artists and community experts through PKL's own village-centred production model. Rooted in the oral storytelling tradition of fāgogo, every resource is created to strengthen identity and place Pacific values at the heart of 21st-century learning.

By combining technology and cultural intelligence, PKL is redefining what digital equity looks like for Pacific - not as passive consumers, but as EdTech builders, advocating for the right of our children to learn in their own language and be grounded in cultural confidence.
